A Nigerian man who goes by Young C has taken on a challenge to be buried alive in a coffin for 24 hours.
He shared this information through a series of posts on his Instagram page on Wednesday, explaining that the stunt was real and not a trick.
He stated his plan to livestream from the coffin at night.
On Wednesday, he posted a video on his Instagram account saying, โI am going to be spending the next 24 hours buried in this casket. Guys, this is real, not fake.
โAnd the most amazing part is that I am going to go live at night.โ
In a later update, Young C mentioned that he had already been buried for over 8 hours and was feeling physically uncomfortable, including excessive sweating.
In an evening update on Wednesday, he mentioned, โGuys, I have been buried alive for over 8 hours now. For those of you who saw my first video, I have been down here. As you can see, my camera is still rolling, and I have my light down there, I am sweating, guys.โ
This achievement is similar to a challenge taken on by the American YouTube personality, MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson).
Two years ago, MrBeast buried himself alive for 50 hours to bring attention to deforestation.
Recently, he tried to surpass his own record by spending seven consecutive days buried in a coffin.
MrBeastโs specifically designed coffin had provisions for food and water, along with cameras to monitor his condition.
Despite encountering physical and mental difficulties, such as back pain and emotional distress, MrBeast successfully finished the seven-day challenge and was finally unburied.
He warned viewers against trying similar stunts, highlighting the potential dangers involved.
