The Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Bethrand Onuoha, has given out cheques worth N39m to the 25 families of deceased officers on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun. This information was in a statement released by the command’s spokesperson, SP William Aya, on Thursday. He mentioned that during the CP's cheque presentation, he disclosed that “the gesture was part of the Group Life Assurance and Group Personal Accident Insurance Schemes aimed at improving the welfare of the families of deceased police officers and to also support police officers who became accident victims while carrying out their duty.”
