The Ogun State Executive Council, led by Governor Dapo Abiodun, has approved seven important projects for implementation.
This information was revealed in a statement by the Governor's Media Special Adviser, Kayode Akinmade, on Saturday.
The projects consist of rebuilding six roads such as the Abule Egba-Ota/Sango-Abeokuta Expressway and obtaining equipment for the Gateway Agro-Cargo International Airport.
The statement mentioned, "The council has also agreed to reconstruct the 5.5km Ode Remo Junction to Sapade (Phase 3), repair Ayepe Junction to Mayflower in Ikenne Local Government, and rebuild Adesan Street, off Mowe-Ofada Road in Obafemi Owode Local Government.
"Other approvals include making adjustments to the 19.2km Atan-Lusada-Agbara Road in Ado Odo/Ota Local Government and constructing Hospital Road, Ogijo, in Sagamu Local Government.
Akinmade stated that procuring machinery and equipment at Gateway International Agro-Cargo Airport at Ilishan Remo will enable 24-hour flight operations and expedite the internationally recognized Airport's take-off.
It was also announced that the Iyana Ilogbo bus stop along the Abule Egba-Ota/Sango-Abeokuta expressway will undergo palliative work due to recent flooding caused by heavy rainfall.
