After a fire at a two-storey townhouse on Tyndall Avenue on Wednesday night, two individuals were transported to the hospital.
Winnipeg firefighters were alerted to the incident just before 11:30 p.m. and were able to control the fire in less than 30 minutes.
While some residents were able to evacuate the building before the arrival of the firefighters, others required assistance. The city’s emergency social services were present to aid displaced residents in finding temporary accommodation.
Of the four individuals assessed by paramedics at the scene, one was taken to the hospital in stable condition and the other in unstable condition.
The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service stated that most of the damage occurred in the suite where the fire originated, and the cause of the fire is still being investigated.
