He mentioned that NIPR has been influential in shaping the narratives and driving positive changes in Nigeria. Practitioners foster collaboration and mutual understanding between the government and important individuals, establish trust, and gain support from stakeholders for development programs.
By promoting dialogue, transparency, and accountability in government, the Institute plays a crucial role in enhancing public trust and confidence in institutions, thereby facilitating sustainable development outcomes.
Dr. Obajide Ilugbo, the guest lecturer, emphasized that effective public relations strategies can act as a catalyst for sustainable development goals even in the face of economic challenges. He added that strategic communication, reputation management, and stakeholder engagement can contribute to the revitalization of the Nigerian economy.
The Public Relations Officer of Igbinedion University, Okada, mentioned that the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations remains unwavering in its dedication to advocating for the principles of ethical communication, integrity, and excellence. NIPR will continue to be a catalyst for national development, driving positive changes and shaping a brighter future for all Nigerians.

Earlier, Dr. Josephine Adeyeye, the Chairman of the Education and Conference Committee of Edo State NIPR, highlighted the significance of the lecture as “we come together to engage in intellectual discourse, exchange ideas, and foster a deeper understanding of public relations as a tool for national development in a depressed economy.”
She noted the importance of the public lecture, especially in today’s rapidly changing world, where knowledge is the most valuable currency.
