According to Winnipeg police, a 25-year-old man is being charged with multiple offences following an assault at a Burger King restaurant on Tuesday.
Around 10 a.m., police were called to the restaurant at Osborne Street and Confusion Corner, where they discovered a 45-year-old victim with serious injuries to the upper body. The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition, but later stabilized.
Police learned that the victim and suspect were acquainted, and located the accused near the same restaurant the following day, just after noon.
The suspect was taken into custody and is now facing charges of aggravated assault, robbery, and two instances of not following a probation order.
