A self-proclaimed religious leader named Prophet Metuh has caused a stir on social media by stating that the world will come to an end on Thursday (today).
He stated that he received a 'clear message' revealing that the world will end on April 25, 2024.
Metuh shared in a video that has gone viral, “The world is going to end on the 25th of April. Whether you take this seriously or not is up to you.
“But this is a genuine claim, the rapture is approaching. On the 25th of April 2024, I saw it very clearly, do you understand? I clearly saw the date, and the Lord communicated with me. He mentioned it twice, it has happened twice.”
He also criticized social media users who were attacking him over his rapture prediction.
This is not a joke, it is the truth. The rapture is approaching, prepare yourself. The message was crystal clear, and the date is also very clear, 25th of April 2024. The world is coming to an end and that is just the reality.
“I have seen a lot of reactions and comments on social media but it doesn’t really matter. What matters is that you have to prepare yourself. The message was very clear, it is not for me to modify to make you happy or for you to like it. It is to pass the message as I received it and that is what I have done.
“So, get ready. This is not a joke, the rapture is approaching. The world is coming to an end.”
However, in response to his claims, some social media users criticized his assertion, stating that not even Jesus Christ was given the knowledge of the exact time of the rapture.
Ufezime Nelson Ubi wrote, “Go and sit down, even our saviour Jesus Christ doesn't know the day the rapture will take place, if it's going to happen at all.”
@jayshualoffixial said, “He even called Jesus' name😂😂😂. What significance does your name have on the rapture or are you seeking attention for heaven?
Also, @tamtamsege wrote, “The issue is that you have all fallen for a well-funded propaganda. And now there is confusion everywhere.”
@Supremebeing241 wrote, “The same people who introduced religion to you are busy predicting the weather and drinking beer in the pub every other weekend. But this man, who probably has no more than £2,000 to his name, believes “God” spoke to him? What's that saying again? 'They are joking'?
Victor Osemudiame said, “It's already daytime. It's almost noon, and I still haven't heard a horn since I got to the office, let alone a trumpet. When will God reveal the other side of these fake pastors to him.”
@josephine_ngg wrote, “I should sell all my possessions and enjoy the money before I go to heaven 😌”
@official_wyreG said, “For those going, please transfer your remaining funds to my account.”
@IVY_MIKE_SirB wrote, “The government needs to intervene and stop all these misleading individuals because their actions and inactions pose a serious threat to humanity. Such activities should not be allowed to persist. He needs to be prosecuted for spreading such false information.”
