A hidden camera recorded a former CIA contractor sharing details about a surveillance mission that targeted former President Donald Trump, his former spouse, and many people involved in his campaign a few years ago.
The operation supposedly started in March 2016. In the video, which was released posted by terminated Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe, former program manager Amjad Fseisi affirmed the existence of the operation through various statements.
When questioned about whether the CIA was still monitoring Trump, Fseisi claimed, “I would say yes. Nothing escapes attention. We also have individuals monitoring his former spouse.”
Fseisi explained how high-ranking officials at the CIA, NSA, and DOJ collaborated to withhold information from Trump during his presidency. He alleged that the top intelligence officials opted not to share intelligence with Trump because they feared he would disclose the information.
“We concealed information from him,” Fseisi mentioned in the video. “He lacks intelligence. There are certain individuals who would … provide him with a general overview but never share any details. You know why? Because he’ll disclose those details.”
Fseisi asserted that Trump would contact Russian President Vladimir Putin and share classified information, stating that Trump was a “fool.” He also predicted that Trump would not win the upcoming presidential election, asserting that he had “done the math, it’s impossible.”
“We have a decision to make here. Do we want a democracy? Or do we want someone who wants to be a dictator?” Fseisi emphasized in the video.
Fseisi also criticized Trump supporters, referring to them as “rednecks who live out in the sticks” and as “brainwashed, unintelligent, uneducated” individuals.
As previously mentioned reported by The Dallas Express, the FBI and the U.S. Justice Department (DOJ) have been accused of overstepping their bounds and violating the privacy of U.S. citizens. For instance, during the investigation of the U.S. Capitol protests of January 6, 2021, the FBI reportedly used an excessively broad dragnet to target individuals whose phone data placed them near the building that day, regardless of their actions being peaceful.
In a post on X, where the video of Fseisi is published, O’Keefe highlighted that Fseisi might have broken the law by disclosing the information.
“Fseisi may have realized he could be responsible for breaching internal agency rules and federal laws like the Executive Agency ethics provisions, which limit what he can share with external parties outside of his contracted agency,” O’Keefe wrote.
He added that Feisis might have engaged in “(a) obstruction of justice by deception (18 USC 1512); (b) conspiracy to obstruct (18 USC 371); and false statements (18 USC 1001).”
The CIA addressed the video with a response to O’Keefe:
“These assertions about CIA are completely untrue and absurd. CIA is a strictly nonpartisan organization that provides intelligence support to decision-makers, including the President of the United States, regardless of who holds the office. We are an agency focused on foreign intelligence and do not monitor the former President. The individual making these allegations is a former contractor who does not represent the CIA.”
In the video, Fseisi reportedly displays a green badge given to contractors who work with the intelligence agency. A spokesperson from the NSA reportedly informed O’Keefe that when employment ends, these badges are kept secure and destroyed. This implies that Fseisi was still working for the CIA when he made the statements on hidden camera.
