On Wednesday, Argenio encountered two former teammates during the matches.
He managed to defeat Akhilesh Velaga in a tough three-set semifinal match.
In the semifinals, Borick faced Wyoming Seminary’s Bill Hall, whom he managed to defeat despite a difficult first set.
Borick faced early challenges from Hall in the semifinals but was able to win decisively over the final two sets.
Borick gained the advantage over Argenio after a closely contested first set.
Borick expressed his delight in achieving his best performance so far.
During the second set, Borick took an early lead before Argenio had to retire due to physical discomfort.
Scranton Prep secured another gold medal after their victory in the District 2 team championships.
After the match, Borick received a chocolate bar along with his gold medal and is set to participate in the PIAA Class 2A singles championships in Hershey.
