The lawmaker representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Senator Ede Dafinone, on Sunday urged for the rehabilitation and effective engagement of the displaced people of Okuama community in Ewu Kingdom, Ughelli South Local Government Area. Many indigenes of Okuama fled into the bush after the March 14, 2024, killing of 17 army officers and soldiers.

Sheriff Oborevwori, the Governor of Delta State, on Friday, urged the Board of Inquiry established by the Defence Headquarters to investigate the Okuama killings to be open and honest. On March 14, a group of angry young people in the Okuama community in Delta State killed four officers and 13 soldiers who were on a peace mission.
